My Family

I have the best family I could have ever dreamed of, when I say I am living the dream I mean it. I grew up in Talent Oregon where I was raised with two sisters by a mother that taught me many wonderful things while working two or three jobs. Because my mother worked a lot, I spent most of my days off with my grandfather. Since he was a traveling salesman, I traveled all summer and most holidays with him. He is one of the biggest reasons I am who I am, and I am continually trying to live up to him.

My wife and I have been together for 31 years, we spent the first 14 years without children building an incredible friendship (she is my best friend).

After trying to have children for eight years we started the adoption process (our plan was to adopt two and have two) and that is when God showed his sense of humor and gave us our daughter Emilie. I did not think life could get any better with such a beautiful wife and daughter. What I was missing was Jacob our son, he came to us 16 years ago and never have I had so much empathy and sympathy for my mother, he is becoming such a wonderful man. I have always asked my kids to be better than me and so far both of them have exceeded my greatest dreams.

We spend most of our spare time outdoors hiking, fishing, and finding a geocache and anything else we can do outside.

So there you have it, probably more information than you needed and a lot more than you wanted. Here are a few of pictures of our family, you might notice that the kids seem little young but this is how I still picture them, not the 19 and 16 year olds that they are today.
